BACKGROUND

Flashpoint Design and Marketing (‘Flashpoint’) is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information it collects and receives. We are required to comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 ( "the Act'). Some of the information you provide for our graphic design related activity is regarded as "personal information''. This policy describes how we collect and hold that personal information, how we use your personal information, who we disclose it to, and how you can access or correct the personal information we hold about you.

COLLECTION
To successfully manage our services for you, we require some personal information. The personal information we collect may include your name, address, phone number, email address, and maybe payment information. This is mainly used for the purpose of sending proofs to check and for billing purposes. Where possible Flashpoint will collect personal information directly from you or as authorised by you. You are completely within your right to choose not to provide the personal information required, but we may not be able to provide you with the services you require without.

STORAGE
Flashpoint holds personal information in various formats, including electronic and physical forms, on servers, cloud-based storage, databases, and filing systems. We may hold your information indefinitely (unless requested otherwise) for historical reasons - mainly to retrieve or access work done previously for reference on current and future works. We will take reasonable steps to protect and keep secure the personal information we hold. We will also take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is accurate, up to date, complete, relevant and not misleading. The accuracy of your information depends largely on the information you provide. We recommend that you let us know if there are any errors, or changes in your personal information, so we can correct it.

USE
Your personal information may be used by us to:

  • Provide products and services to you and to communicate with your regarding such services.

  • Collect payments.

  • Enable our service providers to provide products and services to you (e.g.newspapers, printers, publishers etc.).

  • Any other purpose you have consented to or have authorised.

 

DISCLOSURE​

To provide the services you require, as indicated above, your personal information may be disclosed to third party organisations including:

  • Other service providers involved in the provision of the services we provide, including printers, publishers and on the rare occasion, other design studios.

  • Regulatory, government and other authorities as required by law.

  • Mailing houses, freight and courier services

  • Credit agencies, debt collection agencies, our legal, accounting, financial or other professional advisors.

  • To any other person or entity to whom you have consented us to disclose your personal information.

ACCESS and CORRECTION
If the information held by us is incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete or not up to date, then you may ask us to correct the information, and we will either correct the information or make a record of your comment as we think appropriate.

CONCERN and COMPLAINTS
If you have a concern or a complaint about how we have collected, stored or used your personal information, please contact us immediately. We will endeavour to respond to you as soon as we are able.
